Dear Members of the Seminary Co-op Bookstore,
We are delighted to tell you that the bookstore will begin moving on November 12 to its new space in McGiffert House, the building at 5751 S. Woodlawn just north of Robie House.
The existing University Avenue store will be open through Sunday, November 11. We welcome you to stop in for one last visit to the old store. The store will then be closed for about a week during the move; during that time the 57th Street store will be open and you will be able to place phone and online orders. We look forward to celebrating with you at our grand reopening. You will hear more news about this soon.
In the meantime, we also want to share important information about our plans to ensure the success of the Seminary Co-op into the future. The Co-op is at a critical moment in its history. Like many independent bookstores, we face challenges greater than any before, but we also have an opportunity now to strengthen the store, grow our membership, and increase the Co-op’s presence in your lives.
