Don't worry about the bundle you are not forced to buy it, and I think that is a typo in the price of the bundle, there should also be an extra controller and a DVD remote included in the price of $499:) All and all I am waiting and will stand in line for my Xbox.

The controller in the image is the american controller eventhough it appears to have longer handles the japanese controller has the start and back buttons to the left under the stick not in the middle

I might get one memory card eventually just for portability. I would only get one if any of my friends get the Xbox though, which is not looking too good, as most of them have sold their souls to Nintendo and Sony - and refuse to even give thought to the Xbox. I think some of them may do some mind changing after they see Halo on November 15 :-)!

If one dosen't want to buy a bundle package, just wait a week. The factory in Mexico will pump out over 100,000 systems weekly so there will always be a constant flow of systems. Anyways, I don't think Wal-Mart is doing bundles. They have a policy of sastisfaction guaranteed, and the lowest prices always.

Hey KnightFal....I think it definitely just depends on who the hell they got working there. Like in any retail business, sometimes they get people there that know nothing about the products they sell. But actually, my local EB guys pretty much always know what's going on, because everyone there is a hardcore gamer. It seems like they play almost every single game in the store sometimes!! PC and video. So hang in there...maybe they'll finally get some people that know what's going on!! Peace.

The reasons that im so mad at the pre-order is cause im not going to be able to run to a store and pick of a Xbox, i have no time im always on the run! so i was hoping pre-ordering will let you select what you want, not what you get! so as i see it im shit out of luck on getting my Xbox. or i would have to find a trust worthy friend, Naaa don't have any of those. see theres my prob. I need a tissue.

I just got back from the local Toys R Us... The bundle includes 1 extra controller, a carrying case, and 3 games... THPS 2x, oddworld, and project gotham. All for $500. (That's a $20 savings off the cover price, according to TRU anyways) Pre-orders were supposed to start today according to the sales associates. One told me due to the events in New York, the preorders would be pushed back to October 15th... That seemed kinda kooky, so I called another store and was informed that pre-orders were indeed supposed to begin today, but were off until microsoft sent them something saying otherwise. So who knows? I don't want to preorder from anyone but TRU, but Oct 15th is a ways off... I hope Bill gets on the horn and starts the pre-orders again. And by the way... More bad news. The Nintendo booth is right in front of the videogames section, where as the Microsoft section is stuffed inside... The kids will love that one. You don't know the meaning of the word "nasty" until you've seen a poster of a giant 4 foot purple game cube up close and personal. Yuck.

Yeah, I am pretty sure that is the Japanese controller in those pics. You can tell because it has the longer handles and it is smaller than the American controller. Maybe this means that Microsoft decided to scrap the two design idea and just give us the Japanese one instead!! That would be great!

A kid's game for a kid's platform. Zelda64 was too hard for any of my younger friends to beat w/o help from older people every 5 minutes but boy was it a pain for mature players to sit through the forced tutorials.

gamecube will be setup to play starting sep.24th at toysrus, so it will be game heaven in there, when we can test some xbox titles there too. i'm definitely there tomorrow though, to check out the gamecube, and find out just how gay luigi's mansion really is.

This the same display as in my TRU, and the console is just a shell. I know because I stuck a pencil all the way in the ethernet port and hit nothing. The manager there said they were not allowed to let anyone take pictures of anything in the store, so good job on the pics. In front of the kiosk there is a rubber Xbox floormat. I wasn't sure how to get it out of the store without being noticed. The carrying case is cool looking and I'm pretty sure it's part of their bundle.

Now if My local ToysRus would put up theirs. Of course, if the floor-monkeys that handle that department would stop saying bs like "Oh, xbox is going to fail. They've lost half their developers already. They won't launch this year anyhow. You should buy a Gamecube." then maybe I would think about getting mine there. But since they have 3 nintendorks running it, things look pretty grim for their chances to get my money.
