Vanity Fair and Bottega Veneta Toast David S. Allee

spacer On Wednesday, July 25, Vanity Fair and Bottega Veneta celebrated the opening of Bottega Veneta’s new men’s-wear store in N.Y.C. with a cocktail party toasting New York photographer David S. Allee. Guests stopped by the boutique to browse the collection and view four large format photographs from Allee’s acclaimed book, Dark Days—a series of photographs of New York whose powerful aesthetic mirrors that of Bottega’s men’s line. Guests comprised friends of the artist and Bottega Veneta, as well as Gretchen Mol, Richard Polidori, and Sally Morgan Lehman of the Morgan Lehman Gallery. A percentage of sales from the evening were donated to the International Center of Photography Community Programs for Youth. Visit bottegaveneta.com or the 23 East 67th Street store in New York.

Kim McCarty Presents “Boys and Girls”

spacer From October 25 to December 22, 2012, the Morgan Lehman Gallery is pleased to present “Boys and Girls,” a new series of elegant and ephemeral watercolor portraits by artist Kim McCarty. The translucent quality of her watercolor medium, combined with her subjects’ expressions suggesting both longing and loss, explores the dichotomy between uncertainty and focus, and reflects the fragility and tenuousness of human experience. Visit the Morgan Lehman Gallery at 535 West 22nd Street in New York City or morganlehmangallery.com.
