Boulder

Boulder is the inaugural program of TechStars, dating back to the good old days of the first class in 2007. The city was named America’s Best Town for Startups by Businessweek in 2010, pointing to the “bottom-up revolution” led by local investors and entrepreneurs alike. The community itself consists of fiercely supportive and tech-minded citizens who enjoy the adjacent mountains and an active, green lifestyle. Many graduates that finish the Boulder program decide to stay, crediting the unrelenting support within the People’s Republic as a benefit unmatched anywhere else in the country. Investors include Foundry Group, Access Ventures, Social Leverage, eonCapital, and several angel investors.
