Finnish activist, Danish hacker share Nordic Free Software Award 2012
Finnish Free Software activist Otto Kekäläinen and Danish hacker Ole Tange are the recipients of the 2012 Nordic Free Software Award. With the Nordic Free Software award, given out for the 6th time this year, the Swedish Association for Free Software and Free Culture (FFKP, Föreningen Fri Kultur och Programvara) honours people and projects who have made important contributions to software freedom.

Fellowship Interview with Hugo Roy
This month we interviewed Hugo Roy, FSFE’s French Team coordinator
and co-founder of the Digital Freedoms association. He joined FSFE
in 2009 as an intern, assisting FSFE president Karsten Gerloff. In
France, Hugo is also active with April and of French Data
Network.

At the South Tyrol Free Software
Conference (SFScon), there will be
a FreeYourAndroid workshop.

FSFE at JDLL in Lyon, France
17 to 18 November
In November, FSFE will be present at the French event
JDLL in Lyon, France.
Every year, this event regroups organisations advocating Free Software and
people giving talks over a complete week end in the center of Lyon. We'll be
there the entire time from the 17th to the 18th. One of our interns, Léopold
Baillard, will even be there the whole week if you want to meet with him.
He will also give a talk about the Free Your Android campaign. The event takes
place in Maison pour Tous - Salle des
Rancy. We are looking forward to see you there!
FOSDEM 2013
02 to 03 February
This year,FOSDEM will be held on the 2nd and 3rd of February 2013 in Brussels. FSFE will participate with a booth. And, like every year, we're looking forward to many great meetings and discussions, and a very good time for all.
