FEMA Hosts Public Assistance Briefings for NYC Nonprofits RSVP Required for November 16 and 19 Sessions Many of New York's nonprofit organizations were hit hard by Hurricane Sandy. The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) will provide Public Assistance to private nonprofit groups and is holding applicant briefings to provide an overview of the program and eligibility criteria. SPARC: Seniors Partnering with Artists Citywide Call for Artists is Now CLOSED SPARC: Seniors Partnering with Artists Citywide is a community arts engagement program that will place 50 artists-in-residence at senior centers across the five boroughs starting January 2013.

NYC Nonprofit Group Purchasing Initiative In 2011 the Mayor’s Office announced a partnership with Essensa, a group purchasing organization that will be offering membership to nonprofits working with the City. The group purchasing plan is intended to leverage the buying power of non-profit organizations by providing an incentive to vendors to offer below market rates.
