By that we don’t mean actual war, although… that’s pretty much what Black Ops 2 already is, I guess. What we mean is a mode similar to the “War” game mode that you saw in Call of Duty: World at War.

“No plans to bring back War at this time,” said Treyarch’s David Vonderhaar on Reddit. “Never say never,” he continued. “Here is a hint. We have a very War-like mode, that isn’t exactly War, that I would love to tell you about, but I can’t because… dragged away by PR.”

“We have some [of] our own new gamemodes we are eager to try out,” he said later, but refused to be drawn on what they would be.

Meanwhile, we were able to sit down for a chat with Vonderhaar recently to discuss the massive changes Treyarch have made to Black Ops 2′s multiplayer. Check it out.

Turn Farming Simulator 2013 into Havester Deathmatch Extreme

As a bit of Friday Funtimes, we have here Mortal Kombain: battle mode for Farming Simulator 2013. The author calls this a ‘null-mod’, a set of rules to make a new in-game but doesn’t require any actual modding of the game.

Mortal Kombain is basically sumo wrestling for front loaders. I’ll show you the video below, but for those wanting to try it out themselves, here are the rules:

      1. Get two players online.
      2. Get them two front loaders (models and “weapons” at your discretion, trying different combinations is actually a fun thing in itself).
      3. Let them meet at the bridge near the port.
      4. The one who tips the other into the water wins!

So if our review of Farming Simulator 2013 convinced you to check out the game, make sure you give this a go — and report back! Perhaps this is an event we can add to the GON-lympics!

(My opinion being very important, it should be noted that I really love the music on this one. Perfect!)
