Welcome to the MTA Customer Information page

Thank you for visiting the MTA Web Site. Here are a few suggestions to help you find out what you want to know about the MTA quickly and easily:

  • Many of the questions you may have about the MTA and its services can be answered by visiting our Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) page.
  • Our Maps and Schedules pages can help you plan your trips easily. Service Advisory pages will let you know how your travel plans could be affected by planned service changes. If you require further assistance, please call our Travel Information numbers.
  • Customers with Disabilities can find out about our special services by clicking New York City Transit’s Access-A-Ride program.

If you don't find the answer to your question through the FAQs, please e-mail us. We'll get you the answer you're looking for as soon as possible.

If you want to request a copy of a record under the Freedom Of Information Law (FOIL), you must use the FOIL Request page. Use that page ONLY for requesting copies of records under FOIL.

One important note: if you have information of an emergency nature to communicate to the MTA, please do not send it by e-mail. To report an emergency, dial 911. To report an unsafe condition at a station or on a bus, subway, or railroad, call the appropriate MTA agency (click on "Call Us" for telephone numbers).
