Nobody made a greater mistake than he who did nothing because he could do only a little....

(Attributed to Edmund Burke, 1729-1797)

The Wellington Internet Exchange (WIX) is an Ethernet-based neutral peering point running over the CityLink metropolitan network in Wellington, New Zealand.

By peering at the Exchange you agree to provide routing information about your networks to other Exchange participants to optimise traffic flows across the Exchange. For more details of this agreement see the ExchangeNET Terms and Conditions

In order to participate in WIX, you need to be attached to the WIX switches, have a router capable of running BGP/4, an AS number and blocks of IPv4 and IPv6 numbers that are yours to route (at least a /24 of IPv4 and a /48 of IPv6).

To arrange a connection, complete the ExchangeNet application form
