Dean Robert Klonoff

Lewis & Clark Law School is an exciting place, where our students receive an extraordinary education. Our faculty are deeply committed to excellence in teaching, and they bring enthusiasm, sterling credentials, innovative scholarship, and vast practical experience to the table. Our teachers emphasize the overriding importance of ethics and public service in all aspects of the law. And they are uniquely accessible to students.

Our students truly enjoy law school. They are exposed to a wide variety of course offerings, have the benefit of one of the finest libraries on the West Coast, and are able to participate in some of the best clinical programs in the country. They go on to hold major posts in the judicial, executive, and legislative branches, in the private sector, in public interest organizations, and in academia. Our alums have made major contributions to law reform and public service.

In addition, the physical beauty of the law school – in the middle of a gorgeous state park – is unmatched by any institution in the country. Moreover, Lewis & Clark is the only law school in Portland, one of America’s most beautiful and livable cities, and also a city with a vibrant and sophisticated legal community.

It is no wonder, then, that students come from all over the country – and from many foreign countries – to attend Lewis & Clark. We hope that you will visit us and learn about all we have to offer.
