ICFP2003
(I wrote a GUI for playing traces.)
I participated in the 2003 ICFP Programming Contest as “Team Spud” (which comprises of just me). The competition was run over 3 days from Saturday 28th June. Conor and I shared ideas and a bit of code, but we each submitted our own solutions (his were faster).
You can download my entry: teamspud_2.zip. For more details on my entry, read the README.txt. My entry includes a GUI, see the README.txt if you are interested in knowing more.
My timings for the 9 tracks were:
track | 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 | 7 | 8 | 9 |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
# steps | 11,434 | 17,537 | 20,833 | 22,287 | 6,733 | 6,547 | 6,945 | 11,575 | 21,481 |
I also submitted an entry in the lightning division (the first 24 hours). My timings for that entry were (in order) 21,825, 34,258, 57,516, 68,763, 12,090, 7,721, 10,216, 43,078, and 77,5674.
Here are images of the tracks, with the trace of my car marked in. Click each image to enlarge. A dark blue colour means a slow speed, white means fast. If the line is hard to see it is probably just a dark, dark blue :D.
