    LOVE does not ignore.

Rob Morris in the Ride Run Walk 4 Love last weekend.

Geno, Vicky and I had the honor of attending Love146’s ten year celebration in New York last week. Rob Morris, one of the co-founders of Love146 and our dear friend, gave an amazing and inspiring speech with many reasons to celebrate and continue the conversation about Human Sex Trafficking. The entire event was focused on The Momentum of Love.

One of Rob’s key points from that talk has been rolling around in my head since Thursday night.

LOVE does not ignore. Or look away.

There are so many conversations I wish we never had to have. I wish I never had to think about child sex slavery. Or a little girl with the number 146 pinned to her red dress behind a glass wall.

    I want it gone.

But ignoring a tough issue will not make it vanish. It takes hard work. And lots of money and smart, strategic minds. And yes. I believe it will take a movement inspired by LOVE.

It also takes hope and I am hopeful about many things in our world, even those we sometimes want to ignore. We were with a client last week who is also trying to find ways to solve tough issues in the world and he gave us this wonderful definition of HOPE.

Hope is a verb with it’s sleeves rolled up.

Let’s carry HOPE in our hearts. Always.
