Blogs

I have been writing about the industry since I arrived at DataPro in 1974 via paper newsletters, electronic newsletters, and blogs. (I was an early blogger, assisted into the blogosphere by some of my blogging friends, who noticed me lurking on their blogs and took a few hours to help me create my own blog and figure out how to do posting – before the niceties of elegant WYSIWYG editors and no need to know HTML).

Amy Wohl’s Opinions

Is a blog about many parts of the computer industry, including Cloud Computing and SaaS, as well as all my interests related to bringing new technology to market and the business of software – strategies, the competition, business models, and changes in the marketplace brought about by new technology, new entrants, and new products.

It’s generally about anything I feel passionate about.

Amy Wohl’s Opinions on Cloud Computing and SaaS – Archival Only

I’ve consolidated all my blogging onto my Amy Wohl’s Opinions blog.  To view older posts (pre May 15, 2011) about Software as a Service (SaaS) and Cloud Computing software since the beginning of the ASP market in the late nineties, see this archival blog.  I earlier wrote a blog on the SaaS market for IBM’s PartnerWorld site in 2005 and this blog became a continuation of that effort, focusing on trends and concepts as I have spoken to numerous SaaS providers regularly over the years.  I will continue to blog on these topics, but at Amy Wohl’s Opinions.

Amy's Food Adventures

Is a hobby blog about cooking, eating, and what to do with a library of 5,000+ cookbooks – especially when many of your dinners are nowadays for one.

Please also join our Mailing List (See form to the left, here): From time to time we have something to say which is too long to fit into the blog format. In that case we will put links into the blogs to direct you to the publication. We may also mail it to our mailing list, which we invite you to join (just add your information to the form at the left side of this page).
