Middleware

A range of enabling middleware tools are available to help members more easily secure, manage and access the power of the Internet2 Network.

InCommon

The InCommon Federation provides the framework for trusted shared management of access to online resources for research and higher education institutions and their partners.

The InCommon Assurance Program provides standards for the more-stringent identity proofing procedures needed to access online services requiring higher levels of assurance.

The InCommon Certificate Service provides U.S. higher education with unlimited SSL, extended validation, client (for example, personal), and code-signing certificates for one annual fee.
