CPCUG Inclement Weather Policy

CPCUG will cancel activities including classes, meetings, seminars, and workshops according to the following policy:
- Cancellations of CPCUG activities [the General Meeting, Special Interest Group (SIG) meetings, Saturday seminars, classes, and so forth] are to be governed by the policy of the public school system where the activity is to be held (for example, the District of Columbia; Fairfax County, Virginia; Montgomery County, Maryland; and Baltimore, Maryland).
- If the governing public school system cancels classes for the "entire day," all CPCUG activities scheduled for that jurisdiction will be canceled for the entire day.
- If the governing public school system calls for “delayed opening,” "late opening," or similar, afternoon and evening CPCUG activities in that jurisdiction will be held, but morning activities will be canceled.
- If the governing public school system calls for “early dismissal,” morning CPCUG activities in the jurisdiction will be held, but afternoon and evening activities will be canceled.
- If the governing public school system calls for “no evening events,” morning and afternoon CPCUG activities will be held, but evening activities will be canceled.
For purposes of the above policy, morning events are those scheduled to start before noon; afternoon events are those that start between noon and 6:00 pm; and evening events are those that start after 6:00 pm. |
