Member, Digital and Technology Advisory Group. 
Invited by campaign manager Jim Messina to advise campaign on technology-related issues.

Swalwell for Congress - 2012

Advised campaign staff on tech platform and strategy, hosted candidate events, and volunteered with campaign. 

Democratic National Convention 2008

Coordinated product strategy across all Google products included in Google's partnership with the Democratic National Convention Committee.

Creator, SuperDelegates.org
Created and populated this popular wiki to bring transparency to the DNC Super Delegate process. Profiled on CNN, NPR and Wired Magazine in the site's first month.

Obama for America - 2008

Precinct Captain, San Ramon, CA; Co-organizer, Googlers for Obama, 2007 - 2008
Precinct captain: Called all voters in precinct and canvassed neighborhood. Periodically provided technology advice to campaign's technology and new media team.

Naperville Township Democratic Organization

Chairman, 2004 - 2006.
Led fundraising efforts resulting in group's first $10,000 year of funds raised. Recruited candidates for local office, grew paid membership and increased regular attendance at group's meetings. Revamped technology and communication strategy for the group, resulting in a doubling of the e-mail list in twelve months, and a 300% annual growth in traffic to the group's website. Ran for local office and received endorsement from the local paper.

Obama for Illinois

Technology Consultant, 2004.
Managed all aspects of campaign weblog through the general election, authored blog entries, composed emails from the candidate to the campaign's internal list as well as external lists like MoveOn. Advised campaign on the use of the weblog as a communication tool as well as an outreach vehicle, and provided guidance on interacting with bloggers locally and nationally. Hosted a fundraiser for Sen. Obama at our home and assisted with local GOTV efforts.

Dean for America

On primary ballot as Delegate; Technology consultant; Chairman, DuPage for Dean. 2002 - 2004; Member, Illinois State Steering Committee.
Advised campaign on weblog and RSS strategy and assisted in development of several user-facing applications. Grew local group in DuPage County to more than 600 supporters in less than 12 months, developed an executive group to help manage group's activities, organized several fundraisers that raised in excess of $20,000 locally, and participated in a state-wide steering group for campaign. Mentioned in campaign manager Joe Trippi's book about the campaign.
