Nicaragua has started a 5000-student OLPC deployment in Bluefields, on their southeastern coast. Recording videos and taking pictures were the first activities learned. A report of the first photo-day was sent to the local newspaper for publishing.

All students learn how to repair their own laptops, and take them home with them. The XOs are a chance to learn new craft skills as well as standard classroom topics.
