Fall Schmitt Lecture Tuesday Dec. 4th at 4PM in McKenna The Notre Dame Center for Ethics and Culture is happy to announce that the Fall 2012 Arthur J. Schmitt Lecture will be given by Carl Schneider, the Chauncey Stillman Professor of Law and Professor of Internal Medicine at the University of Michigan. Professor Schneider's presentation is entitled "Regulating Research Rightly: When Philosophers Become Kings." In his lecture, Professor Schneider will examining the way in which human subjects are treated in scientific experimentation, and he will mount a provocative critique of the method by which experimentation involving human subjects is evaluated at the university level.
