Welcome to the International SGML/XML Users' Group (ISUG). ISUG is an organization dedicated to the promotion of markup-based applications. As SGML and XML are metalanguages, they provide a standard basis for industries, organizations, and individuals to agree how to exchange information, using their own vocabularies and structures.

ISUG is a membership organization open to all users of markup technologies. We have grown out of grassroots activities in a number of countries. With a history of influence in important activities, active members, and good relationships with the organizations that maintain these technologies, we are ideally positioned to help individuals and organizations get a better understanding of these important standards.
