Performed by those it happened to and taken from the personal experiences of wounded, injured and sick Service personnel, this is a darkly comic, authentic and uplifting tale of survival. The Two Worlds of Charlie F is a soldier's view of service, injury and recovery. Moving from the war in Afghanistan, through the dream world of morphine induced hallucinations to the physio rooms of Headley Court, the play explores the consequences of both physical and psychological wounds and the effects on others as the soldiers fight to win the new battle for survival at home.

(****) Led by a soldier with an amputated lower leg, more than a dozen disabled veterans injured in Afghanistan describe their experiences in the battlefield, during rehabilitating, and returning to their families. The musical numbers went surprisingly well, and whether in a wheelchair or wearing a prosthesis the leader was a charming guide. This show ranked 17th of the 77 Fringe shows I have seen so far this year. If you care to read the complete set of my similarly short reviews, you can visit my non-profit website: fringefan.info.

Funny, moving and a complete eye opener. Sadly the run at the Fringe has come to an end but if this comes to a theatre near you please go!! Don't miss it!

Inspirational. A privilege to watch. Bought tickets after watching the TV programme about the making of the show. Took my son, who has just completed his Acting and Performance HND to see it. All he could say was "Amazing"; otherwise he was rendered speechless for some time afterward. Shame about the idiot in the row behind who hadn't switched off his phone and received several communications during it - Philistine! They should make all politicians who have to decide whether to send young men to war watch (so they realise the consequences of their decisions) and all young men wishing to volunteer for the forces (so they make informed choices).

This was one if the most moving plays I have ever seen and deserves to win every accolade there is at the Fringe. Real theatre played by real people , the emotions were so deep and so heartfelt I defy anyone not to be moved. Well done to everyone who is a part of this amazing production.
