South African Hip-Hop

Started my day off right. Just got Canadian rapper Os12's footage from the Black Sunday block party in Soweto, South Africa. Os12 and I were sent to the African Hip-Hop Summit in Joburg back in October, and we went to the Soweto township while we were there. If you want to feel the spirit of African hip-hop, check out this clip.

Makes my heart happy. The little kid that kicks things off beatboxing is Siya. One of my fav kids on the planet. Him and his crew showed me around their hood and spent the day with me when I was there. Big love. Also, shout out to Zuluboy, the first freestyler on the clip.

I've told you all before and I'm going to keep saying it: African hip-hop is on fire right now.
