If you like to know everything about you PC or want to make sure that you are getting the most of our your hardware, then you need to check out this software.The software you see listed below can be used for gathering information, testing, overclocking, monitoring, tweaking you system and more. Modders-Inc has tried to place them in the caterories that we thought they best fit in, but some are have multiple testing ascpets to them.


Benchmarking

3DMark Vantage – (Website)
3DMark Vantage is a PC benchmark suite designed to test the DirectX10 performance of your graphics card. We have been making 3DMark for over 10 years, with each new edition using the latest 3D technology to determine real-world performance.

3DMark06 – (Website)
3DMark06 is a PC benchmark suite designed to test the DirectX9 performance of your graphics card.

PCMark Vantage – (Webite) A PCMark score is a measure of your computers performance across a variety of common tasks such as viewing and editing photos, video, music and other media, gaming, communications, productivity and security.

PCMark05 – (Website)
With PCMark05, you will be able to select the optimal upgrades for your existing PC, or choose the right new PC that fits your specific needs.

PassMark Performance Test – (Website)
Fast, easy to use, PC speed testing and benchmarking. PassMark PerformanceTest allows you to objectively benchmark a PC using a variety of different speed tests and compare the results to other computers.

x264 HD Benchmark – (Website Page)
It is a CPU benchmark and is a reproducible measurement of how fast your machine can encode a short, HD-quality 720p24 video clip into a high quality x264 video file.

 

 

Hard Drives

HD Tune – (Website)
HD Tune lets you benchmark the transfer rates and response times of your hard drive. It shows results in a graphical view.

CrystalDiskMark – (Website Page)
CrystalDiskMark will quickly test the performance of your hard drives.

Disk Bench – (Website Page)
Not in a synthetic benchmarking program that will display figures that you will never be able to reach. The program is using the current filesystem to save a file. If it is fragmented, the performance will be degraded, as it is in real life

Video Card

Riva Tuner – (Website Page)
This program is another video card overclocking software. It lets you set the clock speeds and fan speeds of your video card.

Fraps – (Website)
Show how many Frames Per Second (FPS) you are getting in a corner of your screen. Perform custom benchmarks and measure the frame rate between any two points. Save the statistics out to disk and use them for your own reviews and applications.

GPU-Z (Website Page)
GPU-Z is a lightweight utility designed to give you all information about your video card and GPU.

FurMark (Website Page)
FurMark is a very intensive OpenGL benchmark that uses fur rendering algorithms to measure the performance of the graphics card. Fur rendering is especially adapted to overheat the GPU and that's why FurMark is also a perfect stability and stress test tool (also called GPU burner) for the graphics card.

EVGA Precision – (Website)
This program allows you to fine tune your NVIDIA graphics card for the maximum performance possible, with Core/Shader/Memory clock tuning, real time monitoring support including in-game, Logitech Keyboard LCD Display support, and compatibility with almost all EVGA graphics cards.

AMD GPU Tool – (Download)
This Overclocking and Monitoring Tool is from AMD lets and manage clocks of all AMD/ATi cards.

ATI Tray Tools – (Website)
ATI Tray Tools is a Full Featured Radeon Tweaker that can be found in the windows tray which then allows instant access to options and settings.

nHancer – (Website)
Extensive explanations for all the various settings are directly shown in nHancer, enabling newcomers to immediately understand the effects of those settings. Experts, on the other hand, can use the advanced options to adjust every detail to their preferences

MSI Afterburner is a overclocking utility made for both ATI and NVIDIA graphics cards.

AMD OverDrive – (Website)

SetFSB – (Website)
SetFSB allows to change your computer's Front Side Bus (FSB) speed for the winodws GUI.

MemSet – (Website)
MemSet is a tweaker which allows you to change memory timings under Windows.

Temperature

Core Temp (Website Page)
The uniqueness of it is that it shows the temperature of each individual core in each processor in your system! You can see in real time how the CPU temperature varies when you load your CPU. It's also completely motherboard independent.

CPUID (HW Monitor) (Website Page)
A small utility that shows you overall system health including temperatures, voltages, and more.

Speed Fan (Website)
This program monitors voltages, fan speeds and temperatures in computers with hardware monitor chips. SpeedFan can even access S.M.A.R.T. info and show hard disk temperatures.

PassMark BurnInTest – (Website) Computer stability and reliability testing software for Windows & Linux. BurnInTest is a software tool that heavily loads all the major subsystems of a computer with the aim of thoroughly exercising the hardware in a PC in a short period of time.

wPrime – (Website) A multithreaded benchmark for x86 processors that tests your processor performance by calculating square roots with a recursive call of Newton's method for estimating functions.

MaxxPI� – PreView – Multi – (Website)
MaxxPI�-Preview-Multi is designed to do MultiPI calculations. For further scaleability informations on different CPU types. Is the *little brother of MaxxPI�, it contains the same PI-calculation routine as MaxxPI� does. So your reaced results will be comparable to MultiPI calculations, shown here on MaxxPI.Net.

CPU-Z – (Website) This program gives you detailed information about your CPU, Frequency and timings and more.

CPU-Tweaker – (Website) This program gives you information about your CPU and the ability to make adjustments and some memory settings.

SiSoftware Sandra (Website)
Profiles your computer and lets you run some stress test.

PC WIZARD (Website)
A utility designed to analyze and benchmark your computer system. It can analyze and benchmark many kinds of hardware, such as CPU performance, Cache performance, RAM performance, Hard Disk performance, CD/DVD-ROM performance, Removable/FLASH Media performance, Video performance, MP3 compression performance.

SIW – System Information for Windows (Website)
SIW is an advanced System Information for Windows tool that gathers detailed information about your system properties and settings and displays it in an extremely comprehensible manner.

RAM / Memory

RightMark RAMTester (Website)
The RAMTester tool checks reliability of memory modules under MS Windows (x86 and x64), working with virtual addresses.

Memtest86 (Website)
Memtest86 is a thorough, stand alone memory test for x86 architecture computers. BIOS based memory tests are a quick, cursory check and often miss many of the failures that are detected by Memtest86.

MemSet (Website)
MemSet allows you to tweak the memory modules settings through Windows on the fly without having to reboot.

MaxxMEM2 (Website)
Is the *little brother of MaxxPI, it contains the same Memorybenchmark routine as MaxxPI does. So your reaced results will be comparable to Memory / Latency benchmarks done by MaxxPI.
