Nagios Network Analyzer Public Beta

By nicholasscott on October 16, 2012

A solution for evaluating and using Netflow and sFlow data has been on the horizon in the Nagios Labs here for a while, and we are now calling for public beta testers for the product. If you would be interested in beta testing such an application please note your interest in the comments below and I will contact you so that we can work together to resolve issues that present themselves in Nagios Network Analyzer.

Nagios Network Analyzer has direct integration with Nagios Core and Nagios XI, and is designed to be used in conjunction with either, while still containing enough of its own features to be functional as a standalone application. It is also designed be very intuitive to use, and to browse your flow data in as straightforward and painless a manner as possible, without sacrificing flexibility.

Good timing, I’ve been keeping an eye out for a netflow & sflow analyzer to use with our extreme black diamond and VMware networks. Just wrapping up our new nagios core setup this is pretty good timing! Needless to say I’d be interested in this beta

    Hi,

This is good that yet another powerful technology is going to be integrated and provided in NagiosXI by default which will be very helpful. I have been working on many open source NetFlow Analyzers from last few years. NetFlow data is very useful in getting indepth picture of the network at the protocol level and for traffic analysis. In fact I have implemented open source NetFlow analyzer nfSen/nfdump suite together with my NagiosXI in production implementation for my customer and also integrated the NFA URL into NagiosXI views.

In such a scenario, I will be really willing to work on this to test this beta version for NagiosXI, please drop me in the details..!!

We currently use nagios and would love to help beta test your network analyzer. We are a full ISP and have a Wireless network for residential customers, Servers for web/mail etc, and colocation. We would love to graphically see what is going on to help trouble shoot problems.
    Thanks
    Tim

    Hello,

I would love to test out the Network Analyzer app. I have been using some other
tools and it’s not very clean, we are in the process of upgrading our
monitoring infrastructure so now is the perfect time. Please let me know
if spots are still open and where / how to download.

    Thanks,

    Rich.

    Hi,

Id like to help out with the beta if possible. I am running a Nagios core setup covering our global trading platform. being able to analyse network traffic and integrate with Nagios would help uts get to bottle necks really quickly.

    Regards

    Tom
