The turbo that's going places.
If the combined 170 hp on the Jetta Hybrid isn't enough to entice you, how about we throw in a 7-speed DSG® automatic transmission with imperceptibly fast gear changes? Move the gearshift into Sport mode, and feel that extra boost of power kick in every time you press the gas. Then watch the fuel gauge barely register a change as you drive mile after mile.2
Because superturbocharged
just sounds silly.
We're a company that likes to go around turbocharging things. But the Touareg Hybrid deserved something special-so we supercharged it instead.1 If that sounds oddly similar, that's because it is. And it's even more powerful. The supercharged 380-hp hybrid with 425 lbs/ft of torque is designed to deliver maximum boost at lower RPMs. (That's a good thing.)
All driving. No compromising.
We took the Jetta and added a unique, turbocharged hybrid powertrain and aerodynamic body accents. We didn't get rid of anything-not the stylish looks, not the comfortable interior, and especially not the wow-this-is-fun attitude. Of course, we could have made it like other hybrids on the road. But then it wouldn't be a Volkswagen.
Visualize fuel efficiency.
We put an onscreen display of hybrid system information on the touchscreen display. It lets you monitor your energy usage, driving range, and battery percentage, so you can maximize your power and minimize your trips to the filling station.3
