New social media technologies are emerging all the time. And they’re technologies used by our consumers every day. In this key role, we’ll look to you to explore the potential of each one in order to drive our brand and improve our visibility. Day to day that means managing conversations between ourselves and our customers through Twitter, Facebook and blogs – using your first rate communication skills to diffuse and resolve situations, as well as to thank customers for their feedback. It also means influencing our bigger campaigns and supporting the development of a social media strategy. So working closely with the wider team, you’ll build industry-leading relationships with come of the biggest influencers online; getting them on board to help position our brand and develop our presence. Getting our message out into the social networking community, reaching more people than ever before and giving them reason to talk about us positively, you’ll drive home our status as a true market leader.
A social media expert, you’ll have a solid understanding of the various social network channels, from Instagram to LinkedIn. And although you may not have worked in the telecoms industry before, you’ll certainly have experience of in-house or agency life. Product knowledge would be a real bonus. But more important are your strong critical thinking, broad market awareness and passion for the industry. Back this up with the communication skills to build relationships at all levels and the energy to drive the reputation of a company named high street retailer of the year, and you’ll soon be growing alongside us.
