Managing Creative - Brand - AV Browne

AV Browne Group are creating a new dedicated, client facing, expert led brand house with a small business mindset. AVB Brand will be responsible for its own client relationships and P&L and we need a Managing Creative to take a business lead.

The Brand team will build on AV Browne's reputation for delivering award winning brand conversion and communication programmes. But it will go further. It will provide consultancy on renaming projects, copyright, brand values, propositions, messages and strategy. It will run workshops, audits, research, reviews and training programmes. It will design, logos, identity systems, guidelines and brand conversion processes and programmes. It will define and own brand relationships. It will occupy the space at the top of the design food chain.

So, if you are a creative heavyweight with business acumen to match, if design is in your blood, if you are highly skilled and still very much on your way up, if you are hungry for great projects and keen to prove yourself as a design leader, this could be the role for you.

The essential requirements for this role are:
• 7+ years experience
• The ability to manage a creative team
• An ability to create and lead complex, multi-stakeholder design programmes
• An ability to research, audit and fundamentally understand client businesses
• An ability to provide strategic branding solutions, propositions, models and messages
• Demonstrable strategic thinking skills with an ability to lead client workshops
• Exceptional presentation skills with the ability to work at Boardroom level
• A strong business acumen with the ability to manage studio finances and resources
• Entrepreneurial skills in identifying, approaching and winning new business
The role will involve:
• Strategic thinking and design for a wide range of clients
• Responsibility for the creative reputation and design output for all client projects
• Undertaking staff appraisals and yearly reviews
• Reviewing and developing relationships with partnership organisations and third party suppliers
• Presenting to clients at all levels including workshops, pitches, boards and steering groups
• Representing the Agency at key meetings, presentations and events
• Writing industry articles and contributing to new business proposals, tenders and award submissions
• Planning, managing and reporting on Brand team issues, resources and finances
• Building new business and leading on the commercial development of the Brand team
