The Building
The Richard B. Fisher Center for the Performing Arts at Bard College offers an architecturally bold and dynamic environment for innovative artistic presentation in the Hudson Valley. Designed by Frank Gehry, the Fisher Center provides audiences with a world-class complex that inspires risk-taking performances and provocative programs in orchestral, chamber, and jazz music and theater, dance, and opera by American and international artists. The Center is also home to Bard College's Theater Program and Dance Program.Sosnoff Theater
The Sosnoff Theater, an intimate, 900-seat theater with an orchestra, parterre, and two balcony sections, features an orchestra pit for opera and an acoustic shell designed by Yasuhisa Toyota that turns the theater into a first-class concert hall for performances of chamber and symphonic music.Theater Two
Flexibility and accessibility govern all aspects of Theater Two's design -- its scale and simplicity allow performers to connect easily with the audience. The theater is an ideal teaching and performance facility, with adjustable bleacher-type seating and a semi fly tower complete with catwalk and rigging to serve a variety of scenic arrangements.Dance Studios
The Felicitas S. Thorne Dance Studio is a soaring, light-filled space in which students take class and rehearse. It is also the home of the weekly Dance Workshop, in which choreographers share works in progress with faculty and other students. Theatrical lighting and sound systems make Thorne Studio a versatile laboratory for student choreographers.Technical Specifications
