Hurrah – I’ve been invited to speak at Bacon (The conference about things that developers love). I’m speaking on what I call “Wombletech” i.e. – making good use of technology that we find…It’s been on my mind a lot recently. It seems too often that people want to over-complicate solutions to problems, simply so that they can avoid the “Not Invented Here” stigma. I seem to remember that Proctor and Gamble a few years back started a campaign called “Proudly found elsewhere” which I think is eminently sensible and laudable. Anyway – it on the 20th and 21st of April in London – not sure when my slot is – but am rather excited.

The tremendously talented Andrew Balkwill and I are launching a blues piano training website called NakedBlues.com. Interestingly we had a little trouble registering the Facebook soubriquet www.facebook.com/nakedblues – so we’ve had to opt for www.facebook.com/nkdblues.

Although it wasn’t taken, it appears that you can’t use the word “naked”. I wonder if Jamie Oliver ran into the same problems – he’s got  www.facebook.com/jamieskitchen
