What can I do if my DIRECTV service has been interrupted by Hurricane Sandy?

We're doing everything we can to restore DIRECTV service to every one of our affected customers as quickly as possible, including deploying additional technicians. Because of the size and severity of the storm, however, some areas, including zones outside of the directly affected areas, may experience delays. Please rest assured that we're taking every step possible to minimize these delays.

Here are a few quick things you can check to make your service call as efficient as possible:

  • Power must be restored to your home in order to resume DIRECTV service. Unfortunately, generator power is not sufficient. As soon as your power is restored, we will be able to provide assistance.
  • Please make sure your home is accessible to our technicians.
  • Please make sure that your home is not flooded or has standing water that could result in electrical shock.

Once you've confirmed these items, please call us at 1-800-531-5000. Our customer service representatives are standing by to assist you.
