2011 GCCIS Outstanding Undergraduate Scholars

The award for Outstanding Undergraduate Scholarship (OUS) was established to recognize excellence in academic achievement by students. Those selected to receive the award are designated RIT Scholars and the achievement is recognized through an especially designed award emblematic of high academic attainment. The awards are presented at a special convocation held prior to the end of each academic year.

 

David Anthony
The GCCIS Scholarship Committee recommends David for the Outstanding Undergraduate Scholarship. His breadth of academic and research interests are exemplary of the award.

James Brigden
The GCCIS Scholarship Committee recommends James for the Outstanding Undergraduate Scholarship. James’ strong leadership in community activities is exemplary of the award.

Allison Carnwath
The GCCIS Scholarship Committee recommends Allison for the Outstanding Undergraduate Scholar Award. Allison’s leadership across numerous projects and involvement in community activities is exceptional.

Esteban Eliza
The GCCIS Scholarship Committee recommends Esteban for the Outstanding Undergraduate Scholarship. Esteban’s extensive activities are exemplary of the award.

Gael Huber
The GCCIS Scholarship Committee recommends Gael for the Outstanding Undergraduate Scholar Award. Gael’s strong academic record and community involvement exemplify the spirit of the award.

Lawrence Jung
The GCCIS Scholarship Committee recommends Lawrence for the Outstanding Undergraduate Scholar Award. His strong academic work and experiences outside of the classroom exemplify the spirit of the award.

Erin Mooney
The GCCIS Scholarship Committee recommends Erin for the Outstanding Undergraduate Scholarship. Erin’s commitment to academics and community involvement is exemplary of the award.

Jeremy Pollard
The GCCIS Scholarship Committee recommends Jeremy for the Outstanding Undergraduate Scholar Award. His academic record, leadership and extra-curricular activities exemplify the spirit of the award.

Nathan Popham
The GCCIS Scholarship Committee recommends Nathan for the Outstanding Undergraduate Scholar Award. Nathan’s initiative in community involvement is characteristic of the award.

David Stalnaker
The GCCIS Scholarship Committee recommends David for the Outstanding Undergraduate Scholar Award. David’s interests, activities and commitment to academics are characteristic of the award.

Brian Soulliard
The GCCIS Scholarship Committee recommends Brian for the Outstanding Undergraduate Scholar Award. Brian’s extensive extra-curricular involvement and academic record is commendable.

Mark Thill
The GCCIS Scholarship Committee recommends Mark for the Outstanding Undergraduate Scholarship. His dedication to academics and involvement in the community are exemplary of the award.

Matthew Vander Horst
The GCCIS Scholarship Committee recommends Matthew for the Outstanding Undergraduate Scholar Award. Matthew’s community volunteer activity and academic work is commendable.

Robert Watson
The GCCIS Scholarship Committee recommends Robert for the Outstanding Undergraduate Scholarship. Robert’s leadership in community activities is exemplary of the award.

Daniel Wild
The GCCIS Scholarship Committee recommends Daniel for the Outstanding Undergraduate Scholar Award. His extra-curricular involvement in RIT activities is commendable.
 

 

To apply for this for the OUS, students must:

  • Submit a resume to the GCCIS OUS committee by early November 
  • Provide a narrative statement including activities, research, etc.
  • Obtain three faculty recommendations
  • Have completed 125 quarter credit hours
  • Maintain an Institute GPA of 3.85
