Alternative Energy Development, Corp. (AED) is the construction unit of WTEC. AED has the crews and equipment available to service any number and any size of projects in North America.

In addition to its fleet of standard construction vehicles, AED controls and operates the most modern and sophisticated fleet of trenchers for burying underground collection systems e.g. nine powerful Rivard trenchers, several Tesmec rock trenchers (two of the three largest machines in North America) and specialized mobile Turchi pile drivers for solar post installation. In addition, the Company has expanded its product line with specialty steel products for installation in the field. Such products include I-beams and poles for mounting solar arrays. These posts are cut to length; fabricated to customer specification and designed for appropriate panel melting; and are then galvanized into finished product.

AED expertise enables the Company to effectively trench any ground surface condition. AED services include Underground cable installation; Installation of switchgears and transformers and inverters; Splicing and termination of MV and LV cables; Installation and termination of fiber optic communication systems; Set up of padmount transformers; Solar Rack installation, fixed and tracking; Driving of solar mounting posts; Installation of foundation ground grids and conduits, etc.
