NEW MEXICO 9000

The state Economic Development Department, in collaboration with the New Mexico Manufacturing Extension Partnership, is offering New Mexico 9000 qualify training classes to prepare businesses for ISO 9001 Certification.

The next class starts January 18, 2013 at the New Mexico State University Albuquerque branch, 4501 Indian School Rd. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87110.

What is New Mexico 9000?

New Mexico 9000 was created by the New Mexico Economic Development Department to provide training and assistance to New Mexico businesses in preparing for ISO 9001:2008. The New Mexico 9000 training program has been completed by 155 companies, creating over 1,000 new expansion jobs.

Trained professionals will conduct ISO 9001:2008 classes in:
  • Internal Auditing
  • Writing Standard Operating Procedures
  • Writing Work Instructions
  • Understanding the Standard
Training will be broken into (6) 1/2 day sessions over a 3-6 month period.

Per participant fee based on the company's revenue is for the first attendee Each additional attendee pays the lowest price of $550. All participants must attend the same training session.
*Companies with customers that require formal ISO 9000 registration must obtain this through independent registrars. Additional costs of registration are estimated to be between $3,000 and $10,000 for most New Mexico businesses, based on company head count. Per IRS, costs for implementation of ISO certification are tax deductible.
