Non-Degree

WHO SHOULD APPLY AS A NON-DEGREE STUDENT?

You should apply as a Non-degree student if you are an adult who wants to take courses for personal enrichment or job enhancement but are not eligible to complete a program of study or do not wish to do so, and do not wish to pursue a GED.

You are a Non-degree student if you intend to seek a certificate or degree but your college placement test scores place you in remedial courses below the 9th-grade level. Once you successfully complete your remedial courses or raise your placement test scores by retaking the tests, you can re-apply to Northern as a degree-seeking student.
