Our mission: To build the capacity of Pacific youth to take leadership on addressing climate change both locally and globally
350 Pacific is part of the global climate campaigning organisation, 350.org.
350.org – is an international organisation that’s building a movement to unite the world around solutions to climate change. 350 comes from 350 parts per million of CO2 in the atmosphere – the level scientists say we need if we want to maintain the world as we currently know it (due to the burning of fossil fuels the world is currently at 392).
The Pacific region has become a focal point for 350.org - as it is on front-line of climate change. Over the last three years, thousands of people spread across every Pacific Island nation and territory - from Tonga to the Marshall Islands - have taken part in actions to call on world leaders to take action on climate change. 350.org Pacific supports local organisers by providing climate education and leadership training, resources and opportunities for action through global days of action.
