in collaboration with the Ramakrishna Mission (RKM), is empowering
the women of the Sunderbans to promote the use of solar power.
This pilot project has successfully created viable enterprises,
on the supply side, targeting women entrepreneurs.

largest integrated biofuels project |

The Energy and Resources
Institute is involved in India's largest integrated biofuels
project. Under this commercial pilot project Jatropha will
be planted over 8,000 hectares of wasteland by 2007-08; the
sites are located across three districts of Andhra Pradesh.
