CFL and STATS to Deliver Enhanced Statistics
New deal focuses on improving fan experience at home and in stadium
Toronto and Northbrook, IL — November 5, 2012
The Canadian Football League and STATS LLC today announced a new partnership that will see STATS take responsibility for the expansion, optimization and distribution of all CFL statistics. This multi-year agreement will result in more content depth for fans on websites and mobile applications as well as improved stats delivery to stadiums across the league.
“Delivering our fans the very best experience is always our focus and this new, enhanced partnership with a market leader like STATS will help us do just that,” said CFL Commissioner Mark Cohon.
STATS will now take responsibility for the interpretation and delivery of all CFL data, where previously it only handled part of the stats packages provided to the league and third party media. In addition to the CFL, STATS enjoys multifaceted relationships with leagues and federations across the globe, including the NFL, NBA, MLB, PGA Tour, NASCAR, UEFA and English Premier League.
“We are extremely pleased to extend our relationship with the CFL and serve as the league’s exclusive official data partner.” said Gary Walrath, CEO of STATS.
