a friend of mine was checking out apartments in prospect heights. after the weirdest, strangest meeting with a broker - EVER we needed fuel.

i work just a scant block away from cafe mogador, and let me tell you. we have been waiting very very patiently for the owners to finally open.

waiting since about last august! waiting for delightful outdoor seating and breakfast and delicious iced coffee!

finally made it over with my boss for a low key "one year review" lunch.

sat outside and it was beautiful. sunny, not too warm. just a beautiful space. good was awesome too.

great addition to the area.

in my quest to find a nail salon open before 10 a.m. (had an interview and my nails were torn up). i stopped to get an iced coffee.

nothing super amazing. nice staff. good coffee. i'm rarely around 8th avenue and 23rd, but if i am, i know where to get my indie-coffee fix.

okay. so i don't go to queens as a rule, but a couple of my pals were doing a shopping pop up at a bar up on steinway street.

long story short, we needed food after the event and the mini star restaurant was cool with three girls hauling a hand truck filled with jewelry and prints coming in about a half hour before close.

totally decent diner fare at excellent prices.

now, i'm no "breakfast taco expert." i don't "go to sxsw." i've never "been to austin."

but this breakfast taco and the iced coffee that i chose to pair it with was excellent.

i just wish they were open earlier on the weekends, since i cruise up havemeyer on my way to work at about 8:15 a.m. on saturday and sunday.

either way, tasty, egg-filled, spicy love.

sunac is like that guy you know that, when feeling weak, you call.

and after all is said and done, you regret it and vow never to call again.

but after a couple months, you call again. and the cycle begins.

replace guy with overpriced salad, and call with buy...this is getting too complicated.

  sunac is open at 8 a.m. on saturdays and sundays when i'm on my way to work. that's why i go there. they also sell snacks, smokes, a decent egg sandwich and juice.
  
  one cannot live on baglesmith alone! (although people might disagree with me on that one)
