For now, we can configure the site title for each language. So that it can be displayed in the template. However, we cannot set a subtitle meaning that we have to create a style for each template we a different subtitle (as my templates defines a subtitle that is displayed below the title). Maybe we can make it generic and have a set of parameters for langages (and templates) that we can define in the configuration manager and in the langage settings

What was built in Joomla 2.5 from the improvement in user access control is great but still not sufficient. It needs more. It need to able able to control each function on the back end on the bases of user groups or users. it needs to be able to control the back end components and their functions one by one. access control should be a separate component controlling all other components access control. And each newly installed component installs with it what super-administrator can control. For Example I own a website as a super administrator and their is 5 people working with me on the back end their level is administrators the problem is that they can change any of the sittings or payment methods and they have access to all? Content access I think it have been solved.

It would be helpful to have the opportunity to get them automatically off the Main-page by a given date, but to keep them published in the category they are stored in.

Allow site users to upload an image file to be associated with their profile. The image could then be displayed along with any site posts and/or comments. This is a sorely missing feature for Joomla which I hope to see added in a near term release (version 1.7 or 1.8).

Every component in the backend - articles, modules, etc should have a notes field - not for metadata or to be seen on the front end, but production notes. Taking notes on where and how this module or component or article is going to be used, where it's seen, what it's intended for would be very helpful as the site grows in complexity. It could also act as a tag system for searching. Or as you're working on an article or module, you could note it's progress and pick up later where you left off. It wouldn't have to be very long, but it's uses could be integral to success!! You have basic options, advanced options, you should have notes.

This will reduce a lot the risk of a hacker getting the administrator userID. Even more there should be 2 alphanumeric random codes for each user the first one as I mentioned t be used by joomla and the internal "system" and the second in wich all application that needs or depend on the userID can link to. Folks, if Joomla really needs to climb above a 2.7% user rate, more modules supporting the 10k+ social networking bs isn't going to help it - you need a game-changer, a major evolution. It might be beyond the scope of Joomla, but IMHO from a 30,000 ft. Marketing point of view (I've never programmed, I hire / manage people to do that) Joomla and (most of) the rest of the internet is like a late-80's VW - boxy, boring, the same, no style. look at the 1000's of Joomla templates that all look the same! Where are the curves, the action, the sexiness - the "non-boxiness"? Where are the Ferraris, Porshes, etc. - only available when done with Flash? Then that's the future if it wasn't for the iPad...but that will change. If Joomla doesn't change and break out of the CSS-box model (at least visually) then Apple will come along take charge, and make evolution happen. Imagine an internet with round/oval etc. overlapping CSS modules, any shape and arrangement you can imagine? This is a big "what-if" but it must be on the horizon - today's toolset driven by the "CSS box model" is holding back creativity, struggling against our freedom of creativity, forcing us to all "work around" the limitations. Am I crazy, or have I suddenly had a Vuja De?

Please remove the 10 banner limit from the com_banners module (change the Count > dropdown to a numeric text field, like it was in v1.5). If you have long pages and the sidebar filled with supporters, it is really cumbersome to manage them in multiple modules.

Everything in Joomla is glued together by menu items and their id's, which makes complex websites, especially with more than one language and more than one template, a nightmare. If Joomla is paged based, it's easy to have multiple articles, components and modules on one page. A page based CMS makes multi language, multi template and multi website easier.

A content based CMS would store the actual video in the database / content repository. Currently when a mail is sent though the core contect form the sitename is added to the subject. Sitename: subject So when you have a long sitename or want to do a little SEO with your sitename the mailsubject can get quite long too. Adding an option in the contact menu item to enter a custom subject prefix can solve this. If left empty it uses the sitename else it uses the prefix.

You should be able to define a prefix for each contact form, so you see directly from which form it was sendet. this may be useful if you have different contact forms for different uses but the mails will all end up in the same e-mail adress or in the same thunderbird folder through different adresses

I suggest that just like web browsers, Joomla should have a component that can browse and install extensions located on JED directly from the Joomla backend. This could later be connected to the Updater, where you could see the installed extensions, recommendations, featured extensions, and so on. Also, it would be nice to store dependencies on JED. For example, if my extension needs a specific version of another extension (or Joomla) to work properly, than this information should be stored on JED. This way this plugin could recognise these dependencies and when I install the extension, it can automatically install any missing dependency, too. The point is to select and install extensions directly from the administration interface, so you don't have to download and install them one by one. The simplified Update process is a very powerful feature in Joomla 3. It would be very nice to have the same thing with the installing process
