New Features

• What's new with knowledge bases?

  Everything! Knowledge bases are a new feature designed to help communities capture and organize helpful information.

  • Knowledge bases are collections of articles based on community content. Most of the content already exists in posts all over the community. Knowledge bases bring related topics together in one place.
  • Lots of navigation options make it easy to locate knowledge base articles from anywhere in the community. Links on articles and posts take you back and forth between knowledge base articles and the posts they're related to.
  • Building a knowledge base is a community-wide effort. Contributions can include writing helpful posts; nominating useful content you read; authoring, reviewing, or editing articles; or commenting on published articles.
  • All community members who contribute to published articles receive credit for their work.

• What's new with images?

  We've made some changes to the way you insert images in your messages and other posts.

  • You can now upload images to your personal image gallery before you add them to messages or other posts.
  • You choose whether others can see the images in your image gallery.
  • You can choose an image from your image gallery to use as your personal icon.
  • When you post, you can upload an image from your computer, choose one from your gallery, or choose an image from elsewhere on the Web.
