NHNZ boosts its production team
November 15, 2012 by Kelly Anderson
New Zealand-based indie NHNZ has added three producers – Lorne Townend, Robin Shingleton and Colette Beaudry – to its ranks.
Lorne Townend most recently worked on Mankind: The Story of All of Us, the 12-part Nutopia series for History. He came to New Zealand via the UK to produce the blue chip science and natural history series Life Force II, an NHNZ series in coproduction with NHK, Science Channel, Discovery International and Arte.
His directing credits include How the Universe Works for Discovery, Animals In the Womb: Dogs for Channel 4 and National Geographic, and the Naked Science series for National Geographic.
Robin Shingleton just finished post-producing NHNZ’s three-part series Abalone Wars for Discovery Networks Asia-Pacific, and will be the series producer on Wild About NZ for TVNZ.
Colette Beaudry joins NHNZ from Sydney, Australia, to series produce OceaNZ, a six-part series for TVNZ. She has executive produced for National Geographic Channels U.S. and International, and her credits include Inside 9/11 and The Dog Whisperer.
The three joined the company in October, and work under NHNZ’s head of production Andrew Waterworth.
“NHNZ has a lot of production on the go… so we’re building up our talent pool for any new productions greenlit,” said Waterworth. “It’s great to be able to bring people from all over the world to work with us on our growing range of productions.”
