Offers for Researchers
The Research Group Data and Web Science conducts research on methods for managing, integrating and mining large-amounts of heterogeneous information within enterprise and open Web contexts. The group is divided in three focus areas Artificial Intelligence, Web-based Systems and Media Informatics. Details on the results of our research can be found in conference and journal papers available on the publications page. We are involved in several national and international projects and cooperate with partners from industry, research institutes and other universities. As a special service, we support researchers from economic and social science in projects that require data mining and data cleansing techniques.
Offers for Companies
Beside fundamental research activities, we also focus on applied research and technology transfer. In this area we closely cooperate with partners from industry. Amongst other activities we are also involved in the Institute for Enterprise Systems and participate in the Commit Initiative.
Offers for Students
We offer regular courses for bachelor and master students related to the topics knowledge modeling, knowledge engineering, and knowledge managment. It is also possible to write a bachelor or master thesis related to the research topics of our group. Excellent alunmni can also graduate at our group to achieve a PhD. Further, we are searching for motivated students to work as research assistant within our group.
