Unused AAdvantage® miles help kids and their families when they could really use some help.

The American Airlines Kids in NeedSM program is one of several initiatives American offers to assist kids in need. The program provides worldwide support for children and their families, as well as for organizations dedicated to improving the quality of life for children with needs for medical, educational, social services issues and/or for those that heighten public awareness of children's issues.
How Your Miles Can Help
Since 1989, AAdvantage members have generously donated miles to help kids in need. In addition to the millions of miles American donates annually, last year AAdvantage¬®members generously donated close to 117 million of their unused AAdvantage miles. These miles help hundreds of children’s organizations like Dana Farber, Something mAAgic Foundation, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, the Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation, Texas Scottish Rite Hospital, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and others. The miles have also been used to provide air transportation to nearly 300 critically ill children, and their parents/guardians, in need of medical treatment.

Through this worthy deed of donating miles, AAdvantage members play a major role in helping American support some of the world’s foremost organizations dedicated to caring for children.
