Youth Journalism International Awards! Three ATMI reporters received top honors at the Youth Journalism International Awards 2012. Congratulations to Ishmael Streever, Aviva Hirsch and Kosette Isakson for being amoung the students (from 18 countries) honored. Listen to our award-winning stories.

Bullied: Teen Stories from Generation PRX! ATMI's Chloe Chaobal was 1 of 7 students from around the COUNTRY selected to be apart of GPRX's bullying radio program. We are incredibly proud of her!! Her story, "Agressors, Victims, Bystanders" is about the effectiveness of said program in the Anchorage School District. It provides insight from students, teachers and the AVB Coordinator. "Bullied: Teen Stories from Generation PRX" aired February 20, 2012.

New Voices! Three ATMI teens were New Voices Scholars and received scholarships to ATMI Third Coast in Chicago. As part of the deal, they and the other scholars wrote essays about the future of public radio.

Alaska Press Club Journalism Fellows ATMI's Kosette Isakson worked with Anchorage Daily News Photographer Marc Lester to produce these slides on the Anchorage Times archives, which are currently located at the Anchorage Daily News. She discovers how newspapers archived information in house before the Internet.

ATMI Advisory Committee now accepting applications! The ATMI Advisory Committee is a group of supportive, collaborative, creative individuals who meet regularly on a long-term basis to give feedback and ideas regarding ATMI activities and operations. If you are interested in joining this group, please fill out an application!

ATMI on KTUU Ch. 2 News! The Alaska Teen Media Institute recently conducted a media skills training workshop for Palmer residents, as they prepare to launch a Radio Free Palmer station. KTUU covered the event.
