presents

Millennials Overview: Gadgets, Politics and Future Online Behavior

July 13th, 2011

7:30AM - 10:45AM

Washington, D.C.

Presented by eZ Systems

The Millennial Generation, also known as Generation Y, describes the demographic cohort having birth dates ranging somewhere from the mid-1970s to the early part of the Millenium.   Characteristics of the generation vary by region, depending on social and economic conditions. However, it is generally marked by an increased use and familiarity with communications, media, and digital technologies.

Lee Rainie , Director of the Pew Internet and American Life Project , joins us again to present a compendium of recent data that focuses on key behavioral statistics of this dynamic and important generation. Areas covered include:

  • Future online behavior and technology adoption trends
  • Trends in social media participation and reputation management
  • Trends in “gadget” ownership, wireless or otherwise
  • Voting behavior data from the November 2010 elections, and insights into future voting trends
  • New data on how Millennials use the Internet in civic and social groups

Attendees to this event will receive critical, independent and non-partisan data regarding these future creators and consumers of information.

Once again we have assembled a “Pundit Panel” of area experts to provide commentary and opinion on what the data might represent, including:
