Pages: 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 It's pretty simple. The values you see in the left column are programmed into our content management system so that whenever they appear in "double quotes" they are replaced with the value you see in the right column.
What are global shortcuts?So if you want an icon of Brigitte Bardot to appear in a story you write or a message you post, just type "zeldman.bardot2" and our system will replace that with the picture.
These shortcuts work on all UserLand-hosted sites, for example, on EditThisPage.Com, Weblogs.Com, XML-RPC.COM, UserLand.Com and so on.
And if you want to make your server compatible with ours, read this XML file every hour and if it changed, copy it into your glossary. It's pretty straightforward to do, and obviously works with content management systems other than UserLand's.
