If you want to use it in a professional environment, you should buy OpenERP Enterprise. It provides support, unlimited bugfixes, security alerts, as well as the migration service to upgrade your OpenERP installation to any future (major) version.

Release Policy

A major release of the stable version is normally published once or twice a year, based off the development branch, with a new increment in the first two version numbers (6.0>6.1>7.0>7.1 and so on).

All stable branches receive daily maintenance updates, containing only bug fixes and security updates. Going to the next daily version does not require any migration operation, a simple deployment over the existing version is sufficient.

The development version (currently from the 7.0 trunk code branch) is available via OpenERP's source code repository, and changes daily as development progresses towards the next major release. This version is not meant for production use, but we provide alpha/beta versions for early adopters and testers on this page.

Nightly Builds

Every night a new set of installer packages are generated automatically based on the latest version of the following versions:

• 6.0 LTS (stable)
• 6.1 (stable)
• 7.0 (trunk/alpha)

Past builds for the last few weeks are also archived, and currently cover the following packages:

• the tarball versions
• the .deb packages for Debian-based Linux
• the windows installers

If you'd like to use our (beta) Debian repository, add the following line to your /etc/apt/source.list:
