Get Started

The Nuxeo platform is powerful and provides a lot of functionalities, which can be overwhelming at first. To make it easier to get started, we suggest you first look at the following documents:

• Understand what Nuxeo is all about in 5 minutes: Getting to know Nuxeo.
• Understand the acronyms with the Glossary.
• Understand the benefits of the Nuxeo platform with the Nuxeo EP overview.
• Understand the value of Nuxeo Connect, Nuxeo Studio and Nuxeo Marketplace in a hands-on overview.

Nuxeo provides several packaged modules based on the platform, that can be installed very easily and configured to fit your document management, social features, digital asset management or case management needs. You can learn more about those modules reading their user guides:

Install & Setup

As a systems administrator, you certainly value an application that can be easily deployed, managed using your usual tools, and that is easy to connect to your existing RDMS or identity management system:

• Learn how to use the Admin Center from your own Nuxeo application to install new plugins / features
• Detailed Administration Guide for all software based on the platform

Customize & Configure

As a developer, you need to get the big picture, but also the nitty-gritty details of how to get things done with the Nuxeo platform. Here are the main pointers:

• Discover Nuxeo Studio, our online environment dedicated to configuring and customizing your content applications (30d free trial available)
• Get a big picture of the Nuxeo architecture with the Nuxeo EP overview
• Check out out RESTful API provided by our Content Automation technology

Deep Dive

To go further and deep-dive into the technology, you can learn how the platform is built, its principle, extension capabilities and services. We have designed the platform to offer an unmatched level of flexibility and extensibility.

• Learn how to customize the Nuxeo Platform, use the Nuxeo API, extend the platform with your own plugins, customize and extend the user interface, create a distribution for your application

• Read the Developer Tutorial [Slightly outdated and currently unfinished].

Getting help

Nuxeo is a real open source project. Our development process is transparent, and we welcome contribution to the project:
