Resources relevant to teleworking and flexible working
We have put together here a unique collection of resources and information about teleworking and flexible working. You can see an outline of all the chapters in The Teleworking Handbook, our essential guide to working where you want, which is sent to everyone when they join the Telework Association. You can also have a look at examples of the newsletters and magazines that members receive on a regular basis. This will give you some insight into what you can expect if you become a member.
We have also assembled a number of case studies and research reports that provide valuable information about the benefits of teleworking and flexible working as well as views of what some organisations are doing to promote teleworking and realise those benefits.
Between 2008 and 2010 the Association participated in a European project, along with partners from Italy and Hungary. Our aim was to share knowledge and expertise and to produce useful tools to help people understand the elements necessary for successful teleworking. The outputs from the project are available for anyone to use. The first is a Teleworkability questionnaire in the form of an Excel spreadsheet, which will help individuals and managers assess the suitability of a particlar situation for teleworking. You can access the questionnaire here. There is also a series of Learning Objects in the form of PowerPoint files which provide guidelines for implementing telework and these are available here.
Finally you will find a set of links to other organisations and service providers that we think you may find useful. Whether you are an employee looking for evidence to put in your business case to your organisation, a business wanting to find out more about how to make flexible working work, or a researcher looking for sources, we hope that you find what you need. If you know of other useful links, research, or resources that we could add to our lists then please let us know.
