Boing Boing and Kindle, sittin’ in a tree…
Even though I’m preconditioned to think Amazon’s Kindle is a steaming pile of shit (exhibit A, exhibit B, exhibit C), it’s pretty neat to see them trying to associate with Boing Boing in their ads (alongside the New York Times!) .

Oh, btw, I work for Federated Media, we sell ads on Boing Boing. My words, and my blog are my own. Duh!
Your disclaimer confused me for a second. I never think people are saying things they don’t mean. That is why I get flak for being a marketer a lot. I just like stuff! Professionally!
I just think it’s better to be open and transparent from the outset, especially when talking about anything work-related.
I’m not sure whether or not I should send this to my client.
Definitely don’t send them Cory’s post on the Kindle!
“Trying to associate”? You make it sound like BoingBoing has nothing to do with it. They’re not taking the money from Kindle subscriptions against their will, are they?
kl, I’m not saying Boing Boing is an unwilling participant in this Kindle experiment, though I’m not privy to the compensation terms of their association (for the use of their logo in the ads or the use of their content).
I’m just saying that the Amazon is using the reputation and credibility of the Boing Boing brand in hopes that it rubs on off on the Kindle. Considering Cory’s not so glowing critique, in that way I say they are “trying to associate,” but not pulling it off so well.
