The Council of Companies was formed in 2008 as a support group for Greater Omaha companies to form and sustain internal young professional groups. The Council maintains close ties with the Greater Omaha Young Professionals and Greater Omaha Chamber to carry out their missions.
- To help local companies launch a successful Young Professional, Emerging Leader or New Employee Resource groups.
- To provide a venue for these groups to share ideas and best practices, discuss common issues, and collaborate to overcome challenges.
- To provide social, networking, development and volunteer opportunities that supplement individual company programming.
- To facilitate collaboration on planning and executing joint company events and build stronger connections across the community.
- To promote Omaha as a great city for young professionals to live, work and play.
2012 Meetings
- Meetings are held at the Greater Omaha Chamber (1301 Harney Street) at 7:30 a.m.
- Open to any company or organization with an existing group or looking to start a group
- Companies should be represented by at least one person at meetings
- The 2012 meeting schedule is: January 26, March 29, May 24, July 26, Sept 27 & Nov 15.
